Many years ago, I received an email from the late minister, Kathy Logan, that
changed the way I thought about prayer.
I pray the message below fills your heart in knowing that the Lord wants you to prosper (move forward, advance, succeed).
Not only does He want you to prosper, He gives you the plan to do it!
Here was minister Kathy's message that encouraged me so:
********************
God's will is for whatever you do to prosper.
I used to pray to ask God for something and then hope I get it!
I didn't know if I would get it or not because I didn't know if God wanted me to have it.
I just asked and then waited to see what would happen. If I got it, the answer was yes. If I didn't, then it wasn't God's will for me.
Is this the way you're praying?
How can we know for sure before we receive it? I found this scripture and everything in my prayer life changed.
I pray you use this is your prayer life too:
"Blessed is the man, who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly nor stands in the path of sinners nor sits in the seat of the scornful, but His delight is in the law of the Lord and in His law He meditates day and night.
He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that
brings forth its fruit in due season. Whose leaf also shall not wither and whatever He does shall prosper." (Psalm 1:1-3)
This scripture paints us a picture of a "blessed man," which is the state in which the Lord desires us to live.
That means God's will is for
- Your marriage to prosper
- Your finances to grow
- Your body to thrive --your body to be well.
So you need to know these things so that you can have confidence and believe that God wants the very best for you. So when you pray, you can pray with faith and already know the answer is "yes" before you pray.
You're able to ask God for healing. You're able to ask God to
bless you and your finances --bless you and your relationships.
To bless your children so that your children grow up and they
grow up honoring God, and all that they do in walking and living righteous lives.
God wants us to know that He intends for us to be
prosperous people.
So get that in your heart today so that when you pray to God, you know for a fact that He loves you and that God has every intention of answering your prayers and prospering your life.
- Warmly, Kathy Logan
