Hi ,
The Lord gave me this message early this morning and put it on my heart to share with you. I pray it encourages you today. I know there is pressure to provide (or help provide) for your family and to give them the things they need materially. But don't forget that the ultimate responsibility for taking care of you and them is the Lord's.
He will provide everything you need as you make His work priority.Stay encouraged with the scriptures below:
Matthew 6:31-24
"Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."
John 4:34-36
"Jesus said to them, 'My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work. Do you not say, 'There are still four months and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.'"
Ephesians 2:10
"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."
Note: I think one of the wisest things you can do is pray to the Lord to reveal to you everyday the Work that He has prepared for you and to order your steps to complete that work.
Matthew 6:10-13
"Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen."
Another Note: I'm starting to add this daily to our morning prayers for the provision to do His work. Jesus said that we should pray in this manner and if it is good enough for Jesus, it is good enough for me! Even at age 12, Jesus had the right priorities. We all should learn from that example!
Today, commit to walking in the works for which God has prepared for you. The provisions and the blessings are waiting on you right there!
