A friend recently asked a question that made me think: "Where do you hear God best?" One of my answers is "while cutting the lawn." I was pushing the lawn mower yesterday (great exercise) when God gave me some great wisdom:
"Re-define Failure."
Many of you have tried to lose weight, but eventually quit. You may be reluctant to try again because you are afraid of failure. But I ask you to adopt a new definition of "failure".
See, we are all going to mess up at times. But the question is: What you are going to do in response? Do you learn the lesson and move forward? Or do you pack up your cookies and go home? I used to take the second option when it got too hard. A LOT. But the day I succeeded was the day I decided to NEVER to give up. I didn't care if success took the rest of my life!
My new definition of "failure" became "giving up." As long as I didn't give up, I couldn't fail. So that's the thought to ponder today: "Re-define failure."
