The Five Steps of Weight Loss Success

Lately in the Take Back Your Temple secret group (see the P.S. at the end), I've been referring to the steps in the TBYT process. God gave me an awesome revelation about how these steps correspond to building a strong house (temple). Learning and living these steps every day will help you reach your best weight and maintain it for life.
 
Without delay, here are the five steps. You can remember them by the word "ARISE":
 
1. Anchor yourself in God
2. Renew your Mind
3. Invest in Slimming Foods that Satisfy
4. Slim, Stretch and Strengthen your Body
5. Expect Tests and be Prepared
 
These steps are detailed in the Take Back Your Temple eBook, but I want to explain why each are important based on what God showed me:
 
Anchor yourself in God refers to the foundation of your house. Acknowledging God as your source through prayer and seeking His guidance in every situation provides the strength and stability you need to endure any challenges you face.
 
Renew your Mind refers to the frame of your house. Hebrews 11:3 says: "By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible." Since God's word framed the world, don't you think it is wise to frame your world by it too? If your world is framed by anything else but God's word, your house has a rotten frame! Your world is based on lies and you can't receive God's best for you.
 
Invest in Slimming Foods that Satisfy means that you invest in foods that heal, energize, and nourish your body. These are your building materials. You use them to reach and maintain your ideal weight. Your goal is to create a win/win situation for yourself - eating foods that taste good to you and are good for you. Yes, they exist, but you have to be willing to look for them.
 
Slim, Stretch and Strengthen your Body refers to the workmen who build your house. You want them to be skilled, strong, and flexible. So you fortify your house with smart, daily exercise.
 
Expect Tests and Be Prepared means that you know storms will come to beat against your house. But you prepare for them as best you can. You already know which situations can get you off-track with your health and weight loss goals based on your experience. So you come up with plans to deal with them in advance so that you are prepared when they come again.
 
I hope these steps help you re-evaluate your weight loss efforts. If you are missing a step, then you will stumble. But when you take each step consistently, you will ARISE to the best God has for you - health, healing and wholeness.
