Sweet Success! Some inspiration for you

I have a couple of short, inspirational reader stories to share with you. After my message last week about how "sugar is fat glue", Amy K. wrote:
Great email. I'm 19, and have been a vegan for over two years. Pretty much sometime during last summer I began finding out about vegan junk foods and embarrassingly enough they became delicious staples in my diet. The surprising thing is that I never liked sweets! In fact, I could never finish pieces of cakes, etc. Because the sugar used in those baked goods/cereals are cane sugar, I have a feeling they were more addictive. Either way I can definitely vouch for that statement. I started my new summer job last week, and it is on a university campus. For some reason I have been eating excellently. Fruits were my only source of sugar, and I have had no breads. When I returned home this weekend (it's only been three days since I've left) My mother was shocked to see a difference in my entire body. My face looked rested even though I had been waking up at 5 daily! I have a feeling bread is a giant contributor as well to this, "sugar is fat glue" statement.""Hi Kimberly,
Amy brings up a good point regarding the baked goods. I too rarely eat bread now because I discovered it only makes me want to eat more of it, plus when I do I get softer around the middle, just like with sugar. But for others, it may not be a problem.
That's why it is critical that you take note of how certain foods make you feel and look. If you are holding on to excess fat, have facial puffiness, get frequently depressed, or have low energy, chances are there is a food that you are eating to which your body is sensitive.
Jane H. also wrote me this week to tell about her victory in overcoming overeating:
"Thank you so very much! Just a note to let you know that the Lord delivered me from gluttony on May 12th. I had gone to the search engine on my internet and typed in "Christian help for the glutton" and found your website. After reading your story and the Scriptures and affirmations contained in your E-Book I broke down in tears. The Lord heard me and I haven't been the same since. Thanks to your obedience to put what you learned out on the net for others to read, I am no longer in chains to an unruly appetite:) I'm down 9 pounds and have a ways to go but I KNOW i'll get there this time and stay there. Great is our God!!!A big ((((HUG)))) to you for your help in finding the narrow path. Your E-Book was a beacon lighting my way:)In Him,Jane H."
Jane's email touched me because once you experience God's power in your life and come to know him personally as your deliverer and ever-present help in your circumstances, you are never the same! You may stumble, even fall, but you don't stay down because he is there to lift you up. And if you don't quit, you are assured of victory. Keep this scripture in mind:
Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.
- 2 Corinthians 2:14
May God bless you in your health journey!
