I once heard faith defined as "knowing God". And to know God is to first know that he loves you.  I believe that you cannot fully love others, conquer destructive habits, or be motivated to take care of yourself unless you are convinced of God's love for you. You also cannot do the good works to which he calls you because they require the power of faith working through love within you.

 

This past weekend, I was inspired to compile some scriptures that illustrate God's love. I did it for myself but then decided to post them on my website to share with you. However this morning, I received an email from a reader named Rachelle that included a link to a video that illustrates the Father's love so powerfully that it made me cry. While the video is in Portuguese with subtitles, love is a universal language and it will minister to you.  

 

I decided to post it in the message because it speaks in ways that words never could.
