One of my childhood friends passed away recently and today, his sister shared a photo of him.
It was a strange photo. I knew my old friend had become morbidly obese as an adult. The photo was out of focus. It only showed his face from the top of his lip on up.
He looked like a ghost. Sadly, it was indicative of how he had lived.
In looking at his photo, a quote came to mind from the movie 'Braveheart':
"Every man dies. Not every man really lives."
Have you ever felt that you were hiding from life, just going through the motions?
In this article, I reveal an incident that happened to me early on in my weight loss journey and how it woke me up to all that I was missing out on.
It made me decide to stop hiding.
I hope it will give you food for thought too!
