Quick Challenge: Hug yourself right now and declare: "I love the person I'm
becoming."
Our pastor had the congregation do that exercise, not once but twice in church! Did you do it?
The more important question is, can you do it?
I felt led to write this because I suspect that some of you won't even allow yourself to do this because of a poor self-image.
You've defined yourself based on what somebody else said about you, your past mistakes, or even current performance.
Our pastor also said something very powerful: "The image you create is the image you live."
Some people will never be healed because, instead of focusing on the vision of themselves as already healed, they maintain the identity of a sick person.
But you see, the Bible says that our God is one who calls those things that do not exist as though they did (see Romans 4:17).
He declares the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10).
Because God exists in Eternity, He is not limited by time as we are. He can see all of our days before one of them comes to be (Psalm 139:16).
God knew about all of the problems that you would face. He knows all about your pain and your sorrows. He knows all about your past.
And here's the good news: He knows all about your future too. And it's a good one!
Do you have a vision inside of the person you can become? I don't believe that vision is an accident.
Because God put that vision within you, then I believe it is possible for you to attain it with His help.
However it doesn't matter what I believe. It only matters what you believe.
Start declaring yourself as healthy, healed and whole. And then practice Godly wisdom daily to watch yourself change.
