"But, it's my birthday!"
Our minds are so sneaky in convincing us to do what we know we shouldn't, aren't they?
It was my birthday a couple of weeks ago, so
I decided to "treat" myself to my favorite dessert of strawberry shortcake.
That was no problem. I ate it at the restaurant and enjoyed it.
But here was my problem: My birthDAY of "treating" myself turned into a BirthWEEKEND of food indulgence!
Ouch.
I finally came to myself and was like, "Whoa, Nellie - your birthday is over. Let's get back on track here."
So I made sure I got back on track the minute I came to myself.
I think what happened to me falls under Reason #1!
