Are you fed up with weight issues? There is probably 1 primary reason why you may not be seeing changes.
This following story illustrates my point.
Imagine that you and I are standing outside of a burning building.
I pull a hundred-dollar bill from my wallet and say, "If you are willing to go into that building and bring back my favorite pair of black shoes in my bedroom, I'll give this $100 to you."
You'd probably look at me like I was crazy and refuse!
Now let's change the
scenario a little.
We're still standing outside the burning building, but this time the flames are higher. I offer to give you $1 million to go inside
of that building.
You may be tempted a bit, but you'd still probably refuse because you value your life more.
Now, let's change the scenario one last time; This time, the flames are so high and fierce that you can feel the heat.
I tell you that your 2 year-old daughter is trapped inside of that building.
Would you go into the building then?
Of course you would!
Up until that point, you may not have believed that you had enough courage to enter a burning building.
But now you know that you would take action for a strong, emotional reason.
Proverbs 4:23 says:
"Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life."
Your heart speaks to your motives, your passion, and your priorities in life.
It is core to who you are and drives your daily decisions.
In the following article, you'll get a simple exercise that can help you uncover issues with your weight loss motivation.
