If You Can Believe

I read the following story recently that has a powerful message about our power to change our world.

I pray it inspires you as well:

One Saturday morning, a pastor was trying to
prepare his sermon. However, his wife was out and his young son kept interrupting him.

Finally to occupy the boy, the pastor tore a picture out of an old magazine, which showed a map of the world.

He tore the picture up into pieces and scattered the scraps on a table with clear paper. Then he told his son:

"Johnny, I'll give you a quarter if you can put this map back together again."

The pastor thought it would take some time before his son could complete the project. But about 10 minutes later, the boy knocked on his study door.

"I'm finished!" the boy said.

The pastor was astonished to see the map back in order on the paper.

He asked, "Johnny, how did you get that map done so fast?"

Johnny said, "Oh, it was easy. On the other side of the map was a picture of a man. I put the man together on the sheet of paper, then I just turned it over. I figured if the man got right, the world would be right."

The pastor hugged his son and gave him the quarter as promised.

"You've just given me my sermon for tomorrow," he said. "If a man is right, his world will be right."

Our personal relationship with the Lord is the key to making our world right.

In Mark 9:23, Jesus said "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."

This Biblical truth even applies to your weight loss goal.

What do you really believe about your likelihood of reaching and maintaining your ideal weight?

4 questions can help you find out whether you believe right in this area.

In Mark 9:23, notice that Jesus said "all things."

Just imagine the transformation for our world when all of us as God's children believe right!
