Are you Jesus' Disciple? (Spiritual Growth)

Published: Sun, 05/15/16

I taught a class for new teachers at church recently called "Disciplemaking Teachers" (I'm Christian Education Director). Before someone joins our ministry, we want to be sure that they are Jesus' disciple in their private lives.

After all, things reproduce after their own kind, so only a disciple can create a disciple!

What is a disciple?

My own definition is that a disciple is someone who follows a daily path of instruction. It is the root word for discipline.

A Christian is one who is a disciple of Jesus Christ. They learn of Him and follow His ways. They may mistakes in the process, but they have a heart to follow Him all the days of their lives.

How can you tell if you are a Jesus' disciple in your daily practice and maximizing your Spiritual growth?
