Have you ever had someone you've never met make an incredible impact on your life?
Sheri Rose Shepherd is such a person for me. Even though I've never met her, she changed the way I view God.
Before I read her gift book His Princess many years ago, I viewed God as a cranky, stingy, old man. He had a Bible in one
hand and a lightning bolt in the other.
In my mind, God was perched on the edge of His throne, watching me like a hawk. If I made a mistake, Zoom! God was ready to throw the lightning bolt down on me.
But through Sheri Rose's gift book of love letters "from God" (based upon
Scripture), I learned that God is a loving Father. He sees me as worthy of His love, even with my faults and weaknesses.
I think this message is so important that I bought copies for my young nieces, plus several women at my church. We need a picture of what real love looks like that we won't ever settle for less.
One of the women to whom I'd given the book told me recently that Sheri Rose is battling cancer.
I checked her page at hisprincess.com and discovered that insurance is not covering the treatment she needs. She is asking for help in covering those expenses.
