8 Healing Scriptures I Confess (Funny Joke Too)

I usually start my mornings with my hands raised over my head in praise to God, confessing scriptures while looking in the mirror. I am going to share the healing scriptures I confess, but first here is a joke that has a powerful message:


A man climbed up on his roof to fix one of the shingles when he slipped, fell, and starting sliding off of it. At the last minute, he grabbed hold of the edge and just hung there. In desperation he cried out, "God help me!" God's voice replied, "I have power to help you." The man said, "Okay, just tell me what to do." God asked, "Do you trust me?" The man answered, "Yes, I trust you." God said, "Okay then. Let go." The man paused, then asked quietly, "Is there anybody else up there who can help me?"


I laughed when I read that because I could relate. For many years when trying to lose weight, I went everywhere else seeking answers but did not go to God! However, He was the only one who ultimately gave me the answers I needed to lose weight permanently. He had the power, wisdom, and strength to help me, and He will do the same for you - if you ask Him!


So here are those 8 healing scriptures I confess. I recommend speaking them aloud and in a posture of praise, thanking God that He is a healer to you:

  • "I believe in the promise of God, I am strengthened in faith, and I give glory to God because I am fully persuaded that God has power to do what He has promised (based on Romans 4:20)."

  • “Since the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in me, He that raised up Christ from the dead also quickens my mortal body by His Spirit that dwells in me (based on Romans 8:11).”
​
  • "O my soul praises the LORD and I don't forget His benefits - He forgave all my sins and healed all my diseases (based on Psalm 103:2-3)"
​
  • "But he was wounded for my transgressions, he was bruised for my iniquity: the chastisement of my peace was upon him; and with his stripes I am healed (based on Isaiah 53:5)."
​
  • "O LORD my God, you healed me when I called on you for help (based on Psalm 30:2)"
​
  • "He sent forth his word and healed me; he rescued me from the grave (based on Psalm 107:20)."
​
  • "I am healed because you healed me; I am saved because you saved me. you are the one I praise, O LORD (based on Jeremiah 17:14)."
​
  • "I prosper and am in health, even as my soul prospers (based on 3 John 1:2)."
