What do you do when the person who prays for everyone needs prayer themselves? My husband Mike wrote the following message and prayer for his fellow Intercessory Prayer team members at our church. I thought this might encourage you too, especially if you are "going through" right now:

Praise God fellow laborers of prayer,

I bring God's peace and blessings to each of you and trust that this post will find you well both Spiritually and physically.

The Lord has placed it on my heart to encourage and pray for us because the enemy has his sights on each of us in an effort to disrupt the great work we are doing and to minimize the accomplishments we have already achieved through prayer coupled with God's blessings.

Please be encouraged in knowing that you are an immediate threat to the enemy's kingdom and he does not like what you are bringing to the fight! We know he is the author or lies, confusion and all things evil as there is evil in his very name (devil).

Be alert as he tries to get you off track and out of focus with the very
tools and tricks of old that he used on our brothers and sisters who gone on before us. He will use lying and "deceitful tactics" such as:

1.   Major/Minor afflictions in our body
2.   Lack of income
3.   Unemployment
4.   Unruly children
5.   Adverse disagreements with your spouse
6.   Adverse disagreements with your brothers and/or sisters in the natural
and in Christ
7.   Misunderstandings
8.   Lies and half truths which are nothing more than disguised lies
9.   Subtle thoughts of you being overlooked or excluded from groups
10.  Subtle thoughts that God is punishing you which is why you are not
being blessed
11.  Illness of family members & friends
12.  Awareness of time or the lack thereof
13.  Harsh accusations if you should sin with a "You know better than that
and you call yourself a Christian" line

BE OF GREAT CHEER!  BE OF GREAT CHEER!  BE OF GREAT CHEER!  Know that these weapons have been formed against you to prevent you from accomplishing what God has given you to do.  The enemy know that he has to stop the bleeding from the wounds you have inflicted so he will stop at nothing in his attempt to stop you from praying and praising God!

But we surely know that "NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST US SHALL PROSPER!"

Now, whose report shall you believe?  We shall believe the report of the LORD!

Heavenly Father, O' ancient of days and in the mighty name of Jesus!

We come before you Lord with a heart that was once heavy-laden but now it is renewed, rejuvenated and repaired by Your loving touch.  We do indeed asked You to forgive us of our sins and help us to not sin against you as it is our desire to please you in all our ways...We pause as we receive Your cleansing and forgiveness.

Now that You have forgiven us Father, it has rendered the enemy's tactics number 13 null & void and allowed us to be about Your business and for that we thank You.

Strengthen us dear Lord to forgive one another as You have just forgiven us.  Help us to see with our Spiritual eyes the tricks and tactics that the enemy has and will lay before us for we know this war is not about us at all.

Give us the words and wisdom that will make a positive life-changing
difference on all that we come into contact with.  Speak to our hearts and mind as we make personal decisions daily that will not only affect our
very lives but those that are around us, near us and dear to us.

Help us to see the good in every situation and to look for the opportunity
to witness about Your goodness to others for we know that what the enemy means for bad You certainly mean for good and will indeed turn it around for our good.

You Lord are an awesome God and such a wonderful and loving Father.  You know what each of us are going through and experiencing even now and that is so cool.  I can see you now listening to our prayers as you are looking at your fingernails as we are finishing our prayer but before we say "amen" you say "It's already done!"  HALLELUJAH!!!!!

Father, we will not get weary.  Although the fight can be challenging at
times, it is not a burdened and it is one that we are more than able to
conquer through you in the name of Jesus.

Do continue to walk with us Lord.  Be our Father.  Be our God and we will be your children.

In the mighty, majestic, matchless, magnificent and marvelous name of your son and our savior Jesus.

Amen and again I type AMEN!!!!!
