A Prayer for Divine Healing

Published: Wed, 04/09/14

Last week, I was studying my Sunday School lesson and the topic was  'Cleansing the Temple.' One of the lesson's great reminders is that God's temple is a house of prayer - a place in which God's people have intimate communication with Him and He with us.

In Matthew 21:12-14, Jesus had a strong reaction when He saw God's temple being misused: "Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. And He said to them, "It is written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer, 'but you have made it a 'den of thieves.' Then the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them."

Is your body (temple) a committed house of prayer? An outcome of the lesson for me was asking God to remove anything in my heart that is not of Him. I want to keep my heart with diligence since life's issues spring from it (see Proverbs 4:23).

A divine healing prayer written by Cindy Otto-Koch has a similar theme. Cindy herself suffered a severe back injury, but is believing God for a complete and total healing. Click the link below to see her first divine healing prayer:
