To succeed with weight loss permanently, you must learn to replace mental lies with the truth. These lies are usually born from the traditional "diet mentality" and make you want to give up and quit on your goals. However, you can defeat them.

Think of it like pulling up weeds in a garden. If you don't take care of them, they will try to take over everything! 

I recommend that you review your thoughts daily for self-defeating lies, then replace each one with truth from God's word. 

In the Take Back Your Temple eBook, I include seven of the most common lies people believe that sabotage their goals. In this email, I'll share three of them. 

You can either replace these lies mentally, or for insistent negative thoughts, speak God's truth aloud. Your thoughts must always yield to your spoken word:

Lie #1: "This is too hard."

Truth: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13)

Lie #2: "I just don't have any self discipline."

Truth: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control." (Galatians 5:22-23)

Lie #3: "I am dying for a cookie."

Truth: "I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the Lord" (Psalm 118:17).

The important thing in this process is to never let the lies go unanswered. The thoughts that you accept, believe, and apply are those that shape your life! Make sure your thoughts are leading you in the direction you want to go.
