WOW - Sobering Quote 💡

Have you ever read a "lightbulb" quote makes you go "Wow"? It shines a light on an issue you may not have considered before. I read such a quote today:

"People will tell me a diet or exercise program doesn’t work for them. I’ll ask how long they’ve been doing it and they’ll say 10 days. How long did it take you to gain the weight? 10 years.

You gave yourself 10 years to put on the weight and only 10 days to take it off? That’s so unkind to yourself...

'Never give the problem a year and the solution a week.' Give yourself grace in moments like that."

Although I am against diets because of the self-defeating diet mindset that comes with them, I had to bold Acuff's sentence above. I LOVE it!

Are you making the mistake he described?

The Bible says that it is by faith AND patience that we inherit God's promises (see Hebrews 6:12).

I pray the Lord give you a vision of healing and wholeness, plus the patience to embrace God's grace each day on the journey!
